I got this green glitter polish in a recent Julep Maven box and to be honest, I wasn’t sure if I’d use it. It’s so gorgeous, but I just don’t use glitter polish all too frequently these days. But I like a good challenge so I decided to come up with a fun way to use glitter polish in a way that fits my nail art style.
I used to do a lot of glitter gradient designs back in my early nail art days so I decided to iterate on that. I started with black polish on the tip of each nail. Once dry I brush a rough stripe at the edge of the black. Then I gradually smudged and layered on a bit of glitter to create a gradient effect, leaving the thickest layer in the middle. It’s super easy, but the impact is high. The green glitter just paired so well with the black!
As the last step, don’t forget a layer or two of top coat. Not only does it protect and lengthen your manicure, but I feel like it blends and smooths the design.
What colors would you pair up for a glitter gradient nail art design? Let me know in the comments!
