In all of the last minute preparations before this baby comes, I made time for a little Valentine’s Day nail art. The best part is that it really didn’t take all that long to do! I love when cute nail art designs end up being easy.
After starting with my usual strengthening base coat, I polished each nail with two coats of Essie’s Ballet Slippers, a soft, sheer pink. Keeping it a little minimalist, I chose just two nails to accent, my thumb and my ring finger. I chose a trio of Valentine’s-y polishes for the design, a red, a pink, and a burgundy. Using my dotting tool, I created a trio of hearts on my chosen accent nails. Once
Pro Tip – Painting Hearts
If you’ve never used a dotting tool to paint tiny hearts onto your nails, you should definitely give it a try! Just dip the tool into your polish and use it to place two generous dots of polish side by side. Then carefully draw the excess polish down from each dot down to the center to create a point. Master that and you can go ahead and call yourself the queen of hearts!
