I’ve been playing favorites with three lip products and realized that I shouldn’t keep these goodies all to myself. Friends don’t keep secrets from their friends (aka you!) so I’m spilling the beans. Peep all three of my favorites with some color suggestions below!
Julep It’s Whipped – $20 ($16 for Mavens)
The lightweight whipped formula in these tubes feels seriously good on my lips. The color lasts a long time and doesn’t dry out my lips. The hourglass-shaped applicator hugs my lips in a way I didn’t anticipate, making application a breeze.

It’s Whipped Color Choices: Pucker Up & Beso
Maybelline Vivid Matte – $8
This velvety, matte goodness renewed my love for the matte lip look. Because it’s liquid, my lips feel like I’m wearing lip balm. For the price, you really can’t do better than this!
Vivid Matte Color Choices: Twisted Tulip & Nude Thrill
YSL Babydoll Kiss & Blush – $40
Oh man, this lip. That price tag is a little hard to swallow, but hear me out. I received my first bottle of this as a PR sample and quickly fell in love. The formula is so soft and creamy and the uniquely shaped applicator makes for the perfect swipe of color every time. The color is also buildable so you can customize the look. I’ve been keeping an eye out for it to go on sale ever since I misplaced my first tube, but I missed it so much that I bought one full price. It’s worth it, I promise. Now just cross your fingers that my original color turns up soon!
Babydoll Kiss & Blush Color Choices: 01 Fuchsia Desinvolte & 19 Corail Sulfureux
