If you’re looking for nail art inspiration for Valentine’s Day, whatever your style preference, you’re bound to find some with one of these designs I’ve whipped up. I’ve got three options, the quick, the subtle, and the all out.
The Quick Design
This one is great if you like to put some holiday spirit on your digits, but don’t have a lot of time. Start with a white or pale pink base. Then, use a short nail art brush or large dotting tool to make heart shapes on two nails. Place some glitter polish on top of the hearts, if you’d like. Use a thin brush to paint a small xo on another nail. Pro tip: practice your lettering on something else a few times before painting it on your nail.
Polish used: Julep’s Lillian, Julep’s Kay, Essie’s Luxeffects A Cut Above
The Subtle Design
If you prefer to keep things simple and minimalist, perhaps a design with a classic Valentine’s Day color like pink is for you. To achieve this look, polish three of your nails pink and the other two a very pale pink. Use a striping brush to draw random stripes across the two pale pink nails.
Colors used: Nars’ Pastorale and Julep’s Lillian
The All Out Design
If you want to really go for it, this all out heart attack is for you. To get this one, you start with a white or pale pink. Then pick three to five Valentine’s-y colors and, with a dotting tool or small brush, paint small v shapes of all sizes all over each nail.
Colors used: Julep’s Fifi, Julep’s Adeline, Julep’s Mallory, Formula X’s Punch Line, Orly’s The Antidote, Julep’s Lee
